Container Classroom

A conceptual project to develop a floating classroom to be possibly located upon East India dock.

The classroom is constructed from a recycled shipping container, a fitting tribute to a dock that was key in the industrial revolution that created the future demand for the containerisation of shipping.

The large circular porthole windows dip slightly bellow the surface to help visitors pep into the waters to study wildlife and plants. The windows are inspired by "clear view" technology that is normally found on ships where the circular glass rotate to clean themselves thus always ensuring perfect visibility.
